What it is used for
Holding, mixing and heating liquids. Volume marks are only approximate.
How to use it
- 1Set the beaker on a level bench and check its approximate volume marks.
- 2Add the liquid or solid slowly and keep the outside of the beaker dry.
- 3When heating, use a tripod and gauze and point the mouth away from people.
Key point
Beaker graduations are approximate; use a measuring cylinder when accuracy matters.
