Acid-base titration
Aim: To find the concentration of a sodium hydroxide solution B by titrating it with an acid A of known concentration.
Apparatus
- Burette
- Pipette
- Conical flask
- Retort stand and clamp
- White tile
- Filter funnel
- Wash bottle
Safety
- Use a pipette filler; never pipette by mouth.
- Fill the burette below eye level using a funnel, then remove the funnel.
- Wipe up spills of acid or alkali at once and wash skin with plenty of water.
